Your hotel addressSituated 80 km to the northwest of Vilnius and 20 km from Kaunas is the Rumšiškės - one of the largest (195 ha) ethnographic museum-villages in the open air in Europe which exhibits 183 buildings and more than 86,000 mobile exhibits. You can see four ethnic areas of Lithuania as they looked 100 years ago. The museum displays about 80 000 exhibits. Some of the houses and implements were actually moved here from their original locations. You will get acquainted with all Lithuanian regions of the 18th - 20th century: Dzukija, Highland, Suwalki, Samogitia and Lithuania Minor and their way of life, work, and their traditions (Ethnographic Museum in Rumšiškės is open from October – to April Wednesday to Sunday, and from May to September Monday to Sunday). In the summer months you may even see workers in the fields dressed in original costumes and children singing songs while weaving wreaths of flowers. During the season time folkrore and ethnographic group's concerts, traditional festivals enliven the exposition. Price: 1-2 persons - 200 EUR (680 Lt); 3-4 persons - 230 EUR (780 Lt).
